Run for a Good Cause During the Baltimore City Turkey Trot

Enjoying thanksgiving dinner is so much easier when you know you earned it. You can do just that this year at the YMCA’s 7th annual 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning! The Baltimore City Y hosts this event every year to raise money to help support families in need.  The race starts at the Weinberg Y and circles the gorgeous Lake Montebello. Walking is perfectly fine as long as you’re moving forward! Children, strollers and dogs are also allowed. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded for best group, individual and dog costume.

The Y is asking that you attend in advance to pick up your registration packets to reduce the large crowd the morning of the event. If you’re interested in winning a prize and want to help but are too busy cooking Thanksgiving morning, you can set up a fundraising page instead. A portion of the fundraising and even the registration will be tax deductible.

Participating also allows you to use the Y’s services. Every participant who brings his or her registration receipt to the Weinberg YMCA scores 30 days of free membership!
