Plan a Classic Summer Night at Bengies Drive-In Theatre

Though thousands of drive-in movie theaters closed in the 1970s and 1980s, Baltimore’s Bengies Drive-In still stands. It has the biggest screen of the entire east coast, and regularly schedules double- and triple-feature bills that will cost you less than the price of a single ticket at the mall multiplexes.

The experience is a throwback, and regulars say it can be a nice for a change of pace, a retro date, or a fun and economical way to keep up with the latest releases. Be advised – the staff here run a tight ship, and you should make sure to review the rules on the website before you arrive. A few tips: admission is cash only, there’s no outside food allowed, and be sure to review your owner’s manual so you know how to turn off the daytime running lights on your car.
