Beans Are an Artform at Aveley Farms Coffee Roasters

Aveley Farms Coffee Roasters began, like many businesses, as a hobby, when its founder purchased a home roaster and five pounds of green coffee after a particularly enlightening Guatemalan blend. Growing from there, Aveley Farms Coffee Roasters got its start and began a journey with one important goal: to bring sustainable, high-quality coffee—and education on how these two qualities come together—here to Baltimore.

Sustainably sourced and locally roasted, Aveley Farms coffee comes in a variety of blends, each with information on where it was sourced, what flavors embody it, and any processing it’s undergone. For example, their Loring Street Espresso features hints of berries, grapefruit, and dark chocolate. It’s sourced from Guatemala and Ethiopia at elevations between 1,600 and 1,900 meters, features bourbon, caturra, and heirloom varietals, and has undergone a washed or natural process before coming to the bag you can order from Aveley Farms.

If parts or all of that profile goes over your head, that’s okay. Aveley Farms dedicates a portion of their efforts (and their website) to educating consumers on coffee, including their processing methods, roast variations, and more.

If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the caffeinated creation that gets you through the workday, Aveley Farms will teach you everything there is to know about a good cup of coffee—and make sure you can drink one in the process.
